SOULCALIBUR V takes place 17 years after the events of SOULCALIBUR IV and continues the epic story of warriors in search of the legendary SOUL Swords in 17th century Europe/5(94). SOULCALIBUR V is the latest entry in the premier weapons-based head-to-head fighting series. Then the story itself is overdramatized, has a rather unlikeable protagonist, supporting characters that don’t fair much better and most importantly 10/10(2). The storyline consists of a handful of cut scenes but mostly storyboards to push the story forward which, in, just screams lazy.
